Dr. Ben Charoenwong is an assistant professor of finance at the National University of Singapore Business School. His research is in the areas of financial technology, financial regulation, and non-conventional policy responses to economic challenges spanning both the United States and Asia. His research has been published in the American Economic Review, the Review of Finance, and Science Advances, and has been cited by the Economist, World Bank, and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
Ben holds a bachelor’s of honors economics, honors statistics, and financial mathematics from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, and an MBA and PhD in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he was an inaugural recipient of the Fama-Miller Liew Ph.D. Fellowship.
