Dr. Kanis Saengchote is an associate professor at the Department of Banking and Finance, Chulalongkorn Business School. He is also a research fellow at Puey Ungphakorn Institute for Economic Research (PIER), Bank of Thailand, an advisor to the Stock Exchange of Thailand on entrepreneurial and professional knowledge development, and a regular contributor to research initiatives by the Securities and Exchange Commission such (e.g. the SEC Capital Market Symposium). His research has been published in international journals such as Finance Research Letters, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal and Journal of Property Investment & Finance. 

Academic Background

Kanis received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from London School of Economics, United Kingdom and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration, Chulalongkorn University. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA. 

Field of Interest

His research focuses on empirical investigations of microdata from the perspectives of economics and finance. The current fields of interest are Decentralized finance (DeFi), Factor investing, Real estate finance, Consumer finance, IPOs and SPACs .
